Every tour card, every booking button and every availability panel on this site is an affiliate link to GetYourGuide, a licensed online travel agency. They carry our partner id so a booking can be attributed here. Ordinary links between pages of this site are not affiliate links, and there is nothing else: no display advertising, no sponsored placements, and no operator has bought a position, a phrase or a star.

What the commission does not change

The easiest booking to sell in Bergen’s food category is a six-hour bus day whose entire food content is one waffle and a small tasting of a local drink. Sending you to it would be the simplest thing this site could do. Instead we call it a good day out and a poor food tour, in those words, every time it appears.

The same goes for the restrictions, which cost bookings and stay in anyway. The Taste of Bergen walk is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians without 24 hours’ notice. The aperitivo tour is for ages 20 and over, and needs two people booked to run. There is a small dog in the house where the home-hosted lunch happens. The waterfalls bus does not allow non-folding wheelchairs or non-folding strollers. All of those go at the top of a page rather than into a footnote.

And no page here prints a figure of money, which removes the most common way an affiliate site quietly flatters whatever pays best.
